Floyd County Schools Superintendent Anna Shepherd congratulates Floyd Central High School for their win in the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Jags defeated Paintsville 25-23, 25-16, and 25-23 in the finals.
Shepherd says, “We are very proud of the team and Coach Brittany Reels! Floyd Central has established a tradition with a very successful volleyball program and we are glad to see this tradition continue.” Shepherd also announces, “Schools in the Floyd Central attendance area will not be in session Monday, November 1, 2021. Schools included are Floyd Central High School, Duff-Allen Central Elementary, May Valley Elementary and South Floyd Elementary. This day will be added to the end of the calendar for these schools.”
Superintendent Shepherd asks everyone, “Please join us in wishing Floyd Central the best of luck in the state tournament.”
The Floyd Central Lady Jags will be playing Boyd County in the first round of the KHSAA State Volleyball Tournament on November 1, 2021 at Boyd County High School in Ashland.
